Overview
The Transportation Development Act (TDA) provides funding to support public transportation services throughout Calaveras County. The program includes two primary funding sources: the Local Transportation Fund (LTF), derived from a portion of statewide sales tax, and the State Transit Assistance (STA) Fund,
generated from statewide diesel fuel sales tax.
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) oversees the program statewide. As the Regional Transportation Planning Agency for the county, the Calaveras Council of Governments (CCOG) administers and distributes TDA funds to eligible local recipients and ensures compliance with program requirements.
