What Is the Regional Transportation Plan?
CCOG is required by the State of California to update the Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) every four years.
The RTP is a long-term plan that looks ahead 20 years. It identifies
transportation improvements needed to keep people and goods moving safely and efficiently throughout Calaveras County.
The plan includes many types of transportation, such as:
- Roads and highways
- Bridges
- Bicycle lanes and paths
- Sidewalks and crosswalks
- Bus stops and public transit
- Airports
- Truck routes and goods movement
What Does the RTP Do?
The plan helps guide future projects and funding decisions in Calaveras County.
